Role Overview:

The Retail & Wholesale Director – UK & Ireland (Luxury Fragrance) will oversee retail stores and wholesale accounts across the region, ensuring that exceptional service levels and retail standards are maintained. This role is responsible for driving sales, leading and developing the Retail and Wholesale Management team, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance business performance. Additionally, the role will play a key part in expanding wholesale partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the brand’s entrepreneurial growth journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail & Wholesale Operations: Oversee and manage all UK retail stores, including a key location in Harrods, and wholesale accounts, ensuring operational excellence, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Sales & Performance Management: Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop and implement staff bonus structures to incentivize high performance.
  • Wholesale Expansion: Identify, secure, and build strong relationships with key accounts and wholesale partners to drive brand expansion across the UK & Ireland.
  • Store Expansion: Support the launch of new retail locations, including the opening of the first standalone store in April 2025, ensuring seamless execution and strategic planning.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and develop the Retail and Wholesale Management team to enhance skills, drive motivation, and maintain a high-performance culture.
  • Retail Excellence: Ensure the highest levels of customer service and retail standards across all locations, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Global Commercial Director & CEO to develop and execute regional retail and wholesale strategies that drive sales and business growth.
  • Financial Accountability: Monitor and manage budgets, sales performance, and key retail KPIs to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and drive business development.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a regional or multi-site retail and wholesale management role within the high-end luxury fragrance industry.
  • Key Account Expertise: Strong relationships with key accounts and wholesale partners, with a track record of successfully expanding distribution channels.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Sales & Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance and achieve business objectives.
