About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Training and Development Manager to lead and enhance the learning journey for employees within the luxury retail sector. Based at Wertheim Village, this role will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to elevate service, sales, and hospitality standards while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
This position is open to international candidates; however, fluency in German and English is a mandatory requirement. While experience in retail or hospitality is preferred, we are open to considering German native speakers with strong relevant training or learning and development experience from other sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve training programs to align with organizational goals and adapt to changing needs.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training materials, including participant guides, quick references, facilitator guides, and presentations.
- Facilitate interactive training sessions for employees at all levels across retail and corporate environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to enhance content and delivery quality.
- Drive excellence in retail training programs, including those focusing on sales, service, and hospitality.
- Manage training budgets effectively, ensuring a measurable return on investment.
- Continuously update and redesign online training materials to maintain relevance and high standards.
- Research and implement innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance workplace learning.
- Utilize Mystery Shop results and other feedback mechanisms to improve guest experiences through targeted training initiatives.
- Exemplify company values, acting as a role model and cultural ambassador.
Requirements:
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in learning and development, with a strong preference for candidates with retail or hospitality backgrounds.
- Open to German native speakers with relevant experience outside of retail or hospitality, provided they demonstrate strong training or people development expertise.
- Proven success in a structured training department, ideally within the luxury sector.
- Strong project and program management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training tools.
- Passion for employee development and a deep understanding of performance dynamics.
