High Jewellery Logistics and Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The High Jewellery Logistics and Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of all logistical and operational aspects of the jewellery house. This includes inventory management, supply chain coordination, secure transportation, and quality control, ensuring that all processes meet the high standards expected in the luxury goods industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize all facets of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory control, transportation, and logistics.
  • Oversee the secure transportation of high-value items both domestically and internationally, including customs and import/export regulations.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols for the handling and storage of jewellery to prevent loss, theft, or damage.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Manage budgets related to logistics and operations, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Oversee and ensure the maintenance of operation systems, physical spaces, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards of the high jewellery industry.
  • Lead, train, and develop operations staff, promoting a culture of excellence and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and operations, preferably within the luxury goods sector or high jewellery industry.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping and customs regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value inventory with an emphasis on security and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Discretion when dealing with confidential information.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with a need to visit storage, retail spaces, and occasionally travel to suppliers or international locations.
  • Requirement to handle high-value items with care and discretion.
