Soulka is an international fine & high-end jewellery website offering exceptional products from the world’s premier houses, marques and ateliers in a single marketplace.

The website (www.soulka.com) will be a luxury online emporium where purveyors of fine & high jewellery and watches can showcase and sell their collections to today’s wealthy, international elite without needing to set up their own online operations. Customers will get immediate online access to product that can currently only be purchased in the real world, and personal service and flexible shipping and returns that exceed anything currently available online today.

We are a start-up company with a lot to do and we are looking for someone to join us and get stuck in. Our business is a personal shopping, social, chat commerce, marketplace / platform with a difference.

There are currently no other players offering access to high-end jewellery and watch houses internationally in a single marketplace so our solution will fill a gap in the market and follow the success of other proven businesses that have already disrupted their markets in this way, e.g. farfetch.com for boutique fashion and net-a-porter.com.

A newly created role, we’re looking for an experienced Social Media & Content Editor, someone who knows what’s trending—both in fine & high jewellery and on social; a natural editor who can identify key moments for our customers whilst navigating the wide range of designers and products on Soulka.com; a proactive team member who is passionate about making our social channels the best that they can be; a collaborator by nature with great communication skills who can work across departments; a self-professed spelling and grammar nerd who can easily craft a spell-checked caption.

Reporting into the Founder, you will be responsible for telling the Soulka story across our core social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest through daily, weekly, and monthly content plans tied to our global marketing calendar. You will be expected to contribute new, innovative ideas focused on engagement—always working with the customer front of mind.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for planning and editing daily content for Soulka’s organic accounts including Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Pinterest in line with global marketing strategy.
  • Manage daily content planning process across Soulka social platforms.
  • Manage cross-departmental activations on Soulka social platforms.
  • Analyze weekly engagement and traffic across social platforms
  • Always optimizing and conceptualizing content based on learnings and past analysis
  • Collaborate closely with freelance editorial & content teams.
  • Drive innovation on the core social channels.

Who you are:

  • You have a deep understanding of social media ecosystems and how to best serve content on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest as well as emerging networks.
  • You are a storyteller by nature, always looking for the angle.
  • You have a track record of audience engagement
  • Social media experience at a brand or agency is a plus, but not required
  • You are a skilled writer and grammar nerd who is able to quickly grasp brand tone of voice.
  • You are a detail-oriented, proactive team member.
  • You can work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects in an organised but flexible manner & prioritizing when necessary.
