Senior Merchandiser, Childrenswear

My client is a leading, multi-brand luxury childrenswear, international e-commerce and wholesale business. They are expanding and are looking for a Senior Merchandiser to join the growing team. This is a permanent role on a full-time basis.

As the Senior Merchandiser, you will oversee merchandise planning responsibilities across all routes to market. You will be responsible for short- and long-term planning activities as well as proactively driving performance to an agreed set of business KPIs. This is a key role within the trading team and requires an individual with strong analytical and influencing skills who can work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to maximise performance. Flexibility, adaptability and strategic thinking skills will be key. We are looking for someone who can contribute to creating a strong team culture.


  • Responsible for short and long term planning for holistic (online & market place) businesses
  • Budgeting, Forecasting and OTB management across multiple brands and categories
  • Price management to maximise profitability, including responsibility for all markdown and promotion activity
  • Seasonal range building – working with the Buying teams to deliver commercially sound strategies
  • Proactive in driving trade results – is action and solution orientated to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Intake critical path management
  • Manage master product data for online website and market place
  • Deliver against key metrics such as sales, inventory, discount, markdown, customer, traffic and profit
  • Manage and analyse performance marketing and collaborate with affiliate partners
  • Manage inventory for marketplace partnerships – allocation, trading, profit, returns


  • 5-7 years of Merchandising experience, ideally within an international e-commerce business
  • Commercially minded and analytical, with strong forecasting and trading skills
  • Knowledge in digital commerce, including commercial, marketing and platform analytics
  • Solution orientated with an entrepreneurial attitude – thrives in a fast paced and growing business
  • Passionate about promoting change for the business and thinking outside the box. Has a “can-do” attitude
  • Effective communicator – ability to clearly and concisely communicate
  • Adopts a collaborative way of working, forming strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Contributes to and creates a collaborative team atmosphere
