Freelance Digital Account Director (Social, Web, Content)

We are currently assisting one of our established global clients, a well-established Content Marketing Agency, based in Central London, recruit a Freelance Digital Account Director.

We are looking for someone that not only has a strong knowledge, but a real passion for digital/web and social media channels, but also understands and appreciates the importance of other more traditional channels. Confidence is key within this position, as a pivotal part of the role will be presenting to clients of all levels and contributing to account growth. This role focus’ more on the strategic planning side of things as opposed to activating, so although a good understanding of both sides will be beneficial, if you’re an experienced Strategic Planner you will definitely have the knowledge to allow you to flourish within the position.

What will help you stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A digital-native with strong experience across web and social.
  • Understanding and appreciation of non-traditional content channels.
  • The ability to think out of the box and be proactive.
  • Excellent knowledge of content agency sector.
  • Experience working within an Agency.

Some main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Work with the campaign and channel leads to ensure creative is delivering against strategy, insights and objectives set out.
  • Overall governance over the following channels: Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook, as well as the clients website.
  • Overall governance for the five seasonal campaigns each year, including overseeing the entire campaign process from brief, through delivery and measurement
  • Creating, managing and overseeing all budgets.
  • Coordinating organic business opportunities within the account.
  • Manage and coordinate the campaign, RFO and social budgets, including reviewing all budgets created across the team.
  • Produce presentations and proposals for clients as required.
